Labor Day Lemonade

Lavender Honey Lemonade

I got this Lavender Honey Lemonade recipe for the lovely ladies at Tone It Up. They have fun fitness videos and great healthy recipes on their website, if you have not heard of them I would encourage you to check them out at www.toneitup.com Thanks ladies for all the fabulous ideas and inspiration!!

Lavendar Honey Lemonade

6 lemons, juiced

6 cups water

4 packets of Stevia

2 tbsp honey

2 tbsp lavender, dried

  1. Place lavender in a glass bowl and add 2 cups of boiling water, honey and sugar, mix well. Cover and steep for 30 minutes.
  2. Strain and transfer infusion to a large pitcher. Add fresh lemon juice and remaining 4 cups of water, mix well.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking. I prefer it more tart and enjoy this recipe as is, however you made need to add a touch more stevia.

Strawberry Lemonade

After making the Tone It Up Lavender Honey Lemonade my husband asked if I could make Strawberry. So this is for my wonderful and always supportive hubby!!

Strawberry Lemonade

6 lemons, juiced

7 cups of water

4 packets of Stevia

1 tbsp agave nectar

2 cups strawberries, sliced

  1. Heat 1 cup of water and pour into pitcher, add Stevia and agave and mix well.
  2. Add lemon juice, remaining 6 cups of water and sliced strawberries. Blend together with an emulsion blender until strawberries are pureed and the mix becomes completely liquid. If you don’t have an emulsion blender you can blend in batches in a blender.
  3. Enjoy the flavors of summer!!

Breakfast Berry Bowl

This lemonade was great with my Berry Breakfast Bowl!! How will you enjoy your summer lemonade??
